Well, not only did I get the job status change (and a big fat raise) but on the very same day, only 2 hours later, GB got a job offer with a company he's very excited about and - drum roll please - he's literally doubling his salary.

But honestly, and we both agreed on this, it's only partly about the money. More than anything it's about the validation and the recognition and the respect.

And yesterday we both felt like we got it and suddenly our collective moods (and salaries) lifted way up and we just felt happy --like all this hard work? It really is paying off. In more ways than one.
